Rwenzori Development Initiative – Uganda (RDI-UG) works with communities, schools, young people, conservation partners and responsible tourism actors to build healthier, stronger and more resilient communities.
RDI-UG operates as the community-development and conservation initiative connected to Rich Jungle and Wildlife Adventure.
We connect community wellbeing with conservation, responsible tourism and sustainable use of natural resources.
We support school clubs, practical learning, kitchen gardens, tree planting and youth-led initiatives.
We welcome government, conservation, tourism, education, research, NGO, private-sector and donor partnerships.
Initiated in 2022 and formally registered in 2024.
Rwenzori Development Initiative – Uganda (RDI-UG) is a community-based organization promoting sustainable community development, responsible tourism, environmental conservation, community health, nutrition, skills development and wildlife-community coexistence.

Our community engagement includes Kyondo, Nyakiyumbu, Kinyamaseke, Munkunyu and Kisinga, with work extending across the wider Rwenzori Sub-Region.

Kitchen gardens, sustainable agriculture and nutrition education for families and schools.
Community awareness and initiatives that contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
Practical skills, entrepreneurship, business development and income-generating opportunities for youth, women and vulnerable groups.
Working with partners and communities to support children facing barriers to education and opportunity.
Supporting tourism-linked enterprises such as guiding, crafts, culinary experiences, beekeeping and sustainable livelihoods.
